Pioneer has released the latest addition to their Amplifier selection, the PRS-A900. What you have here is a 4-channel reference class A/B amplifier feeding 50 x 4 @ 2 and 4 ohms released under the Premier brand. It seems like a lot of time, energy, and money went into producing this baby, as expressed in this short from the release:
The PRS-A900’s reference audio quality begins with an independent, symmetrically isolated circuit board intended to prevent noise, both in the form of electrical interference and physical vibration, from entering the audio signal path. Copper shielding bars in a T-shaped pattern are used to isolate key components from the internal power supply section, blocking any potentially radiated electrical noise that may distort the signal. The copper shield layout design is also utilized in the output section, to isolate the left and right channels preventing any cross talk interference.
This amp can be had right now, but at the high suggested retail price of $1500 smackaroos. A steep price to pay for the average car audio guy, but might be worth it to those who settle for only the best. Hit the jump for the full press release.

Renamed and Re-Rated! Do not be alarmed, you still get all those goodies one has come to expect from a JL Audio A-Series amplifier.
All power ratings for the new G-Series amplifiers are based on the “industry standard” rating method (14.4V supply voltage with less than 1% THD+N, all channels driven).
My Favorite of the Bunch, the G-Max is summed up as having the following, making it slightly better then the A1800 of late:
G-MAX
1200 Watt Class D Monoblock Subwoofer Amplifier
Continuous Power @ 14.4 V:
600W x 1 @ 4 ohm; 1200W x 1 @ 2 ohm
THD at Rated Power:
<1% THD, 20 Hz - 250 Hz
S/N Ratio**:
>90 dB referred to rated power
Frequency Response:
10 Hz – 250 Hz (+0, -1dB)
Damping Factor:
>500 @ 4 ohm / 50 Hz; >250 @ 2 ohm / 50 Hz
Dimensions (L x W x H):
15.75 in. x 9.25 in. x 2.50 in. (400 mm x 235 mm x 63.5 mm)

No release date or prices are available as of thus yet. We will keep you posted though!! Stay Tuned!

At CES, Pioneer introduced the two latest additions to their GM-series Amplifiers, both mono Class-D’s. feature block-style terminals that allow power and speaker cables to be securely connected to the amplifier without the use of crimped-on spade terminals.
The GM-D7400M and GM-D8400M digital mono amplifiers, intended for powering large subwoofers, use digital technology that make them 80-95 percent more efficient than conventional class A/B amplifiers. Due to the increased efficiency, the physical size of the new amplifiers was also reduced by 45 percent, making them more compact and easier to install.
As far as specs are concerned, what your money nets you are 400 watts @ 2ohms, with the D7400M, and 600 watts @ 2ohms with the D8400M. Both with variable low pass filter with a range of 40-240 Hz.

It seems Slim Subwoofers and Compact and Stackable Amplifiers are making even more headway into the12v market. Prices for these two babies as well as the four Other GM-Series A/B Amplifeiers start at $100, and end at $300. That’s a price any wife of a 12v lover can live with!

Kicker is really going to be kicking some ass with this one! Behold the “Warhorse”! This baby is packing 10kW of POWAH, in a rather “small” footprint, of only 3.75″ deep by 17.75″ tall and 35″ wide, and a weight of 67 ibs, or a 6 year old child. This obviously won’t be for the average Joe Schmoe. A medium-sized power plant, preferably nuclear, will be needed to power this! That or if you happen to have eight 12v batteries and two 200-ampere alternators should do the trick. Not so pricey either, with an MSRP of about $1 per watt. $10,000 isn’t bad to anyone whoe can already afford to power this baby. It’s only a matter of time before you see these make the rounds at sound-offs.
The specs are as follows:
