KENWOOD ROLLS OUT WIDE-RANGING LINE OF CD RECEIVERS
Long Beach, CA, January 7, 2008 – Kenwood Corporation is introducing an expansive line of CD receivers that emphasize connectivity and user-friendly features like 3 and 4-lines of text, Interactive Illumination Effect, and 1-Wire Direct Connection to iPods.
All 2008 Kenwood receivers (including entry-level models) include Aux inputs for easy plug and play of portable music devices. The KDC-MP438U and higher include USB Direct Control that allows control of USB portable music players like iPods directly from the receiver. Models with USB also offer 1-Wire Direct Connection so users can plug in their iPod with the USB cable supplied in the iPod box. Another user-friendly feature added to 2008 USB models is Interactive Blue Illumination Effect, a pleasing blue glow that illuminates the controls when pressed or turned and dims after five seconds.
The flagship KDC-BT838U(displayed below) with built-in Bluetooth module includes hands-free cell phone operation, voice prompt dialing, A2DP music streaming and even text messaging. The KDC-MP738U offers a high-resolution display with four lines of text; the KDC-MP638U has a 4-line full dot display that’s easy to read even in broad daylight. The KDC-MP438U(displayed below) features an illuminated front panel USB and Aux input with a sliding cover to protect them when not in use. An illuminated front-panel AUX input with a sliding protection cover is also featured on the KDC-MP338 as well as a 14-segment, 13-digit front panel display.
Even entry-level Kenwood receivers include advanced features. The KDC-MP238(displayed below) and KDC-MP208 play WMA/MP3 files and incorporate Supreme technology for enhanced performance from compressed audio. Both use an easy to read 14-segment 8-digit display.
All Kenwood receivers have 50W X 4 built-in power, include RCA preouts for system expansion and (with the exception of the KDC-MP208 and KDC-138) all Kenwood CD receivers are Satellite, HD Radio and Bluetooth Ready.
