The two gadgets that are becoming the most prevalent found and used in cars today would have to be the iPod and bluetooth enabled devices, such as the cell phone. Alpine has a gadget to ease the integration of thus said devices. The eX-10 is a dash top solution, consisting of a 2.4″ display unit, remote control, and a 12v power module for cigarette lighter ports. Connection through the iPod is through Alpine’s KCE-422i Full Speed™ Connection for iPod cable (included). The unit can display album art on screen, as well as caller i.d. information, to name some of the features. Sound output is transmitted through the car’s speakers via either an FM transmitter or line output jack.
The eX-10 will be available at authorized Alpine retailers in late November at $200 SRI. Not bad if your car does not already have Bluetooth and iPod integration built in. Read on for the full press release.

Not only can you have HD Radio in your car, but soon you will have HD Movies in there too. Panasonic displayed a Blu-Ray single din player for blu-ray playback, and is equipped with HDMI. Not sure the relevance of having HD in car would be as of now, but i’m sure in a few years, it’ll be as common as some of the other gadgets we put in our cars today.
Looks like the Blu-Ray opposition is setting blu-ray through the same paces that DVD went through, but at a much faster rate. First home theaters and games, then pc’s, and now automobiles? Time will tell, the format wars continue.

Kicker is really going to be kicking some ass with this one! Behold the “Warhorse”! This baby is packing 10kW of POWAH, in a rather “small” footprint, of only 3.75″ deep by 17.75″ tall and 35″ wide, and a weight of 67 ibs, or a 6 year old child. This obviously won’t be for the average Joe Schmoe. A medium-sized power plant, preferably nuclear, will be needed to power this! That or if you happen to have eight 12v batteries and two 200-ampere alternators should do the trick. Not so pricey either, with an MSRP of about $1 per watt. $10,000 isn’t bad to anyone whoe can already afford to power this baby. It’s only a matter of time before you see these make the rounds at sound-offs.
The specs are as follows:
